Since 1952, Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX) has brought together the local people, businesses, and leaders who shape commercial construction throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties.
Founded by a small group of local contractors who believed collaboration creates opportunity, GCBX was built on a simple idea: strong communities and strong industries are built through strong relationships. From its earliest days, the organization embraced a philosophy that continues to guide its mission today—Members Doing Business with Members.
What began as a forum for local construction professionals to connect, share opportunities, and support one another has grown into one of the region's most respected commercial construction organizations. While the industry has evolved over the decades, the belief that meaningful connections create lasting opportunities remains at the heart of everything we do.
